Samsung's next mid-ranger, the Galaxy A58, has cleared China's 3C certification as model SM-A5860 with 45W wired charging, the same speed as the Galaxy A57. It also looks set to ship without a charger. There is no launch date, and Samsung has not confirmed anything.

What did the 3C listing reveal?

The unannounced 5G phone was certified on 30 October 2026 under model number SM-A5860. The listing supports wired charging at up to 45W (15V/3A) and shows no charger in the box, so buyers would need to bring their own adapter, as with recent Galaxy A-series models.

The same phone had earlier appeared in the GSMA IMEI database as SM-A586B/DS, and a firmware build labelled A586BXXU0AZI5 was spotted on Samsung's servers in October. Together these show software work is already under way, even though the listing says little else.

What specs are expected?

Earlier leaks suggest Samsung will reuse the Galaxy A57's camera hardware, probably to hold costs down. The phone is also tipped to run Android 17 with One UI 9.5. The chipset is the big unknown: no leak has named it yet.

How does it compare with the Galaxy A57?

The Samsung Galaxy A57 was announced on 25 March 2026. It has a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2340 Super AMOLED+ display at 120 Hz, a 5,000 mAh battery, IP68 protection and a body just 6.9 mm thick and 179 g in weight. It runs the Exynos 1680, which has an Our Score of 41.38 in our database.

That is the number to beat. If the A58 gets a newer chip, as is expected, performance is where it can improve most; a mostly unchanged camera and 45W charging suggest Samsung is keeping the rest of the formula stable. We read the unchanged charging speed as a cost-control choice, but that is our inference, not a leak.

When will the Galaxy A58 launch?

Samsung has not announced a date. The A57 launched in March 2026, so a similar window around March 2027 is plausible, and the phone is expected to follow the Galaxy S27 series. A certification this early does not mean a launch is days away.

For Indian buyers, there is no price information yet. If you are considering the A57 right now, we would wait for more leaks, especially on the chipset, before deciding. We will update this story as Samsung details emerge.
