Oppo Reno 17 Series China Launch Date Set for 9 November

OPPO has confirmed that the Reno 17 series will launch in China on 9 November 2026. The lineup is expected to include the Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro, alongside the OPPO Pad Air 6 and OPPO Watch 5. Teasers point to a glittery design and new live-photo features; full specs are still unannounced.

What has OPPO confirmed about the Reno 17 launch?

OPPO's teaser carries the Reno 17 name and the date, 9 November, along with a cat and glitter. That may hint at a cute, shimmery finish, similar to the Reno 15 and Reno 16 lines. OPPO executive Zhang Ruoxing has also posted a small tub of glitter on Weibo, and his posts suggest three colours: light blue, white and brown.

Two phones are expected, the Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro. A Reno 17F and a Reno 17c may follow, and our earlier story on the Reno17 F 5G NBTC certification covers the F model. The OPPO Pad Air 6 tablet and Watch 5 smartwatch will launch at the same event.

What camera features are teased?

OPPO says the Reno 17 will offer what it calls the industry's first live photos up to six seconds long. You can add stickers that follow people and objects in the scene, and make personalised stickers from everyday things such as the milk tea you drank or the music you were playing. AI identifies the subject so you can adjust the sticker layers, and photos can be turned into a kind of digital diary. These features look aimed at social media creators and younger users.

What specs have leaked?

OPPO has not announced any specifications. Leaks put the Reno 17 at a 6.5-inch display. In our earlier story on the Reno 17 and Reno 17 Pro specs leak, the Reno 17 was tipped to use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with an 8,000 mAh battery, and the Reno 17 Pro the Dimensity 8550 with 7,200 mAh.

This is a China launch only. OPPO has not announced an India date or pricing, and Reno phones usually reach India later with changed specs.
