Redmi Turbo 6 Max Battery Leak: 11,000mAh, Up 2,000mAh
A tipster says the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will have an 11,000 mAh battery, rated at 40.72Wh. That would be a 2,000 mAh jump over the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. He did not name the phone, but his description matches it, and Xiaomi has not confirmed anything.
What did the tipster say about the Redmi Turbo 6 Max battery?
The claim comes from a Chinese tipster who is generally reliable. He says the capacity is "confirmed" at 11,000 mAh, with a rated figure of 40.72Wh. He never wrote the name Redmi Turbo 6 Max. Instead he described a Dimensity-powered performance phone with a 7-inch 2K screen and an ultra-high refresh rate, which fits every earlier leak about this model. The tipster himself wondered whether 11,000 mAh is enough for such a screen; we think it should be.
The figure firms up an earlier rumour of a battery above 10,000 mAh, which we covered in our first look at the Redmi Turbo 6 Max.
How big is the jump from the Turbo 5 Max?
The Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 Max has a 9,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging. An 11,000 mAh cell is 2,000 mAh, or about 22%, larger. The table compares the two on the points that have leaked so far.
| Spec | Redmi Turbo 5 Max (launched) | Redmi Turbo 6 Max (rumoured) |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | 9,000 mAh | 11,000 mAh (40.72Wh rated) |
| Display | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 1280 x 2772, 120Hz | ~7-inch flat 2K OLED, 185Hz, ~1mm bezels |
| Chipset | Dimensity 9500s | Dimensity 9500s per this tipster; earlier claims said Dimensity 9500 or 9600M |
| Protection | IP68 / IP69K | IP68 / IP69 (rumoured) |
Earlier leaks add a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a dual rear camera setup. The chipset claims still disagree, so we treat that spec as open.
Will the battery survive the Poco X9 Pro Max rebrand?
The Turbo 5 Max reached global markets as the Poco Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max, and the Turbo 6 Max is expected to follow as the Poco X9 Pro Max. That rebrand is not guaranteed to keep the same battery: the X8 Pro Max is listed with 8,500 mAh or 9,000 mAh depending on the market, which is below the Turbo 5 Max's 9,000 mAh in China. If the same pattern repeats, a global X9 Pro Max could ship with less than 11,000 mAh, which is our inference rather than a leak.

What should Indian buyers watch?
Nothing has been announced for India, and there is no price, date or final chipset. For Indian buyers the version that matters is the Poco model, so watch for its battery, charging speed and whether Xiaomi brings the 7-inch 2K screen over unchanged. All of this is tipster information until Xiaomi or Poco confirms it.
