OnePlus Turbo 7 Tipped to Launch as Nord 7 in India With 200MP Camera

The OnePlus Turbo 7 is tipped to come to India as the OnePlus Nord 7, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 chip, a 200MP main camera and a battery of around 10,000 mAh. These are tipster claims for the China phone, and OnePlus has confirmed no specs, name, price or launch date.

What specs are tipped for the OnePlus Turbo 7?

Tipster Gadgetsdata says the Turbo 7 gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6, UFS 4.1 storage, a 200MP main camera with OIS plus an ultrawide, and Android 17. The display is a 1.5K flat OLED that goes up to 185Hz in China; the global version may be capped at 165Hz. The battery is put at around 10,000 mAh.

Tipster Smart Pikachu separately claimed a 200MP main camera, a glass back and a 185Hz display. A Digital Chat Station leak described a Turbo Pro with a 6.78-inch 1.5K 185Hz screen, a 200MP camera and a battery of at least 9,000 mAh. It is unclear whether these describe the standard Turbo 7, a Pro model or the same phone. The Turbo 7 is also tipped to skip a periscope camera, which points to gaming and performance as its focus. We covered the first leak in our OnePlus Turbo 7 story.

Will the Turbo 7 launch in India as the Nord 7?

Tipsters say it could. That fits recent history: the OnePlus Nord 6 shares its design with the China-only OnePlus Turbo 6, and both use the same chipset. Nothing has been announced, so the Nord 7 name is a guess.

How would it compare with the Turbo 6 and Nord 6?

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 has an Our Score of 68.39 in our database, and our database lists the Nord 6 at ₹46,999. A newer chip, a 200MP sensor and a 10,000 mAh battery would be a big step up if they all arrive in the Nord. We would not read a higher megapixel count as better photos on its own, since results depend on the sensor and processing.

What should Indian buyers do?

There is no timeline or Indian price. If you want a gaming-focused phone and are thinking of the Nord 6, we would wait for OnePlus to confirm specifications before deciding, but not solely for the camera claim. The Turbo 7's closest rival is likely to be the iQOO Z12 Turbo, also tipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 and a possible global launch as the iQOO 16R. See more from OnePlus in our database.
